Ministry of Justice Qualifies Legal Professionals on Various Legal Topics

Legal Professionals Are Qualified by the Ministry of Justice on a Wide Range of Legal Subjects

From August 25 to 29, 2024, the Ministry of Justice’s Center for Legal and Judicial Studies conducted three training seminars for a variety of legal professionals in various ministries and government entities. The seminars addressed:

  • The ability to prepare and draft administrative contracts
  • Judiciary Enforcement in the Tax Sector
  • Provisions Governing Real Estate Brokerage and the Broker’s Obligations in Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing

The Ability to Prepare And Draft Administrative Contracts

This course seeks to enhance participants’ skills in administrative law, focusing on administrative contracts and their governing principles. Key subjects encompass:

  • Characteristics of administrative contracts
  • A distinction between administrative and private law contracts
  • Different types of administrative contracts and contracting methods
  • The technical formulation and preparation of standard administrative contracts
  • Rights and obligations of contractors with respect to the administration

Judiciary Enforcement in the Tax Sector

This course intended to develop legal and practical skills in judicial enforcement for employees of the General Tax Authority. Within its scope were the following:

  • Nature of judicial enforcement
  • The distinction between general and special judicial enforcement officers
  • The jurisdictions of general judicial enforcement officers
  • Provisions of the Income Tax Law and the Selective Tax Law
  • Tasks of special judicial enforcement officers in the sphere of taxes

Real Estate Brokerage and Anti-Money Laundering

This course focused on reorganizing the real estate brokerage profession and activating regulatory procedures. Within its scope were the following:

  • Legal provisions regulating real estate brokerage in Qatari law
  • Real estate brokerage contracts
  • Obligations of real estate brokers
  • Requirements for combating money laundering and terrorism financing
  • Licensing procedures for real estate brokerage

Dr. Al Fadala emphasized that the Center, under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Muhannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, aims to meet the Country’s training needs in accordance with the third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
